Woodward family,
It has been a wonderful summer so far at Woodward, and I’m so thankful for all that God is doing in our midst! I’m especially excited to announce that Choir will resume on Wednesday, September 3rd. We’ll begin working on Christmas music as well as new songs for the fall season. This is a great time to jump in if you’ve been considering joining!
For Discipleship, I’m thrilled to share that we’re launching two new Sunday School classes this fall:
- One for those in their mid-30s to 40s
- Another for those in their 50s and 60s
We’ll hold an interest meeting for the 30s–40s class on Saturday, August 16th, at 5:30 PM at the home of Cory and Karen King and an interest meeting for the 50’s-60’s class on August 23rd, at 5:30 PM at the home of Darrell & Angee Strickland.
To help foster growth and deeper connection within each class, we’re encouraging every Sunday School group to develop a few key leadership roles:
- Hosts– guide conversations toward life transformation, not just information sharing
- Organizers– plan fellowships and align group activities with the church calendar
- Mission Leaders– lead outreach and mission efforts within the group
- Encouragers– offer follow-up and prayer support to class members
We believe these roles will help strengthen our classes and better equip us to care for one another as our church continues to grow.
I’m genuinely excited about all that’s ahead this fall and am praying consistently that we will seek the Lord’s wisdom in all things.
In Christ,
TK
