To My Faith Family,

As we welcome the month of May, we’re filled with gratitude for the renewal of life that surrounds us. With blossoming flowers, warmer days, and longer evenings, it’s a season of change and excitement.

I have thoroughly enjoyed our “Mark” series. As we move toward concluding in Mark, how thankful are we to have gleaned so much from the life of Jesus in 54 sermons. God’s Word does the work and I pray as we conclude Mark and marvel at the empty tomb, will we be changed as the disciples were? Our next series, “Does God Care About Our Worship?”, will begin in June and go until August. This will challenge us to evaluate our hearts in worship through the book of Malachi. Then we will begin in Ephesians this fall. I love walking through the Word with you, church family!

Special Sundays: May is a month of celebration and reflection. Mark your calendars for these Sundays, specifically

  1. Summer Missionary Commissioning (May 3rd)
  2. Mother’s Day (May 10th)
  3. Graduate Recognition (May 17th)

Our youth and children’s ministries are in full swing, getting ready for the summer. We are already looking forward to VBS and what God is doing to do in and through us this year, June 1st-4th, at WABC! Be sure to volunteer if you haven’t. The vast majority of conversions happen when a person is a child. VBS has eternal importance! Come and serve that week!

God is continuing to do mighty and wonderful work among our faith family. I love hearing some of the stories of how God is moving in and among you. I love hearing of people who you shared the love of Jesus with. I love hearing of answered prayers and healing. I love seeing you truly be the body of Christ to one another and to our community. May we continue to press on to the goal set before us in the power of the Spirit, trusting that better days are ahead for Woodward Avenue. I am hopeful for what lies ahead for our faith family.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy
Spirit you may abound in hope.

In Jesus’ Love,
Pastor Tyler
